O Escritório de Turismo da Embaixada da Espanha nomeou Elvira Marcos como a nova cônsul no Brasil. Elvira, que faz parte do corpo superior de administradores civis do Estado espanhol desde 2006, exercia desde 2010 na Turespanha a função de subdiretora adjunta de Planejamento Estratégico e Internacionalização do Mercado.

Elvira é formada em ciências políticas e da administração pela Universidade Complutense de Madri e possui pós-graduação em estudos ibero-americanos pela mesma instituição.

Entre os objetivos da nova cônsul estão o reforço da imagem da Espanha como destino turístico entre os brasileiros e o apoio a diversão a diversificação da oferta de produtos.
